YOU CAN HELP PEOPLE LIKE PETER, FACING CHRONIC ILLNESS IN THE OUTBACK.
"When I was diagnosed with cancer, I knew it was going to be a long road ahead, living so far from doctors and the treatment I needed. I was terrified.” - Peter
“Both my mother and my grandfather died from bowel cancer, so when I was diagnosed, I was so distraught. I thought it was going to be my fate as well, especially being so isolated” Peter said.
He was scared and for the first time felt the consequences of living so remotely. Treatment was more than 400 kilometres from Peter's home.
A chronic illness diagnosis is distressing and causes uncertainty. But people living in the outback face more distress and uncertainty than most other Australians.
They simply don’t have the same access to healthcare.
Today, you can help provide unfettered access to GP clinics in remote Australian communities and help families battling life threatening illnesses get the treatment they need instead of feeling isolated and alone.
Your donation can make a big difference to the health of outback families. Thank you for your support.
