Jed came off the bike while mustering sheep. His ankle was shattered, and wrist fractured.
“I was shocked and so worried about him. He sounded like he was in so much pain and there wasn’t anything I could do to help,” said Tammy, Jed’s mum.
By the time Jed arrived at the hospital, his leg was badly swollen. X-rays revealed that his foot was so badly broken that he required urgent surgery that was only available at a major hospital in Dubbo, nine hours’ drive away.
